Throughout the year, we apply a strategic combination of pre-emergent, post-emergent, and fertilizer treatments designed to promote healthy turf and minimize weed pressure. After each visit, you’ll receive a chemical report via email that includes important care instructions. Following these recommendations plays a key role in maximizing the effectiveness of each application.

In addition to our treatments, proper watering is one of the most important factors in your lawn’s success. In our area, lawns should receive approximately 1 inch of water per week. We recommend watering less frequently but for longer durations (for example, 3 times per week for 30 minutes per zone rather than shorter, more frequent cycles). This encourages deeper root growth and a stronger, more resilient lawn. Be careful not to overwater, as that can lead to fungus issues. If you’re unsure how much water your system is applying, using a rain gauge or even a tuna can is a simple way to measure.

If you have an irrigation system, we also offer an irrigation monitoring and adjustment program to help ensure your lawn is getting exactly what it needs throughout the season.

Another factor to be aware of is weed transfer. If mower decks are not cleaned regularly, weed seeds can be spread from one property to another. If we are not currently handling your mowing, we recommend confirming your provider is maintaining their equipment properly to help prevent this.

Consistent mowing also plays a major role in overall lawn health. During the growing season, we recommend mowing every 7 days (with a maximum of 14 days if needed). Regular mowing helps reduce stress, prevent scalping, and promote thicker, healthier turf.
