Lawn Care FAQs

• Busy Bee Lawnscapes provides lawn care, fertilization/broadleaf (weed) control, landscaping, irrigation, and hardscaping services. 
• A Standard Lawn Care Service consists of mowing your turf areas, trimming (AKA weed-eating) anywhere our mowers can’t access, edging where the turf meets concrete areas (ex. curbs, sidewalks, driveways, etc.), and blowing off grass clippings that have accumulated on sidewalks or driveways during the service. 
• Regular 7 or 14-day standard lawn services are provided from March to November. From December until February of the following year, residential customers receive monthly/4-week standard lawn services. Canceling services from December through February will result in a recovery fee in March and potentially your spot in the schedule being filled.
• During months when turf areas grow more between services, the team will bag the clippings and additional fees may occur (based on time on-site).
• For our Standard Lawn Care Services, we ONLY offer a 7 or 14-day frequency option. 7-day services received a 10% discount.
• Your lawn/turf area requires at least 1” of water per week. If Mother Nature doesn’t provide this please manually water (via sprinkler system, etc.).
• Bagging grass clippings is not a part of our Standard Lawn Care Service. This can be added by request but will cost more due to additional time required on-site and hauling off debris. 
• The customer is responsible for removing any obstructions prior to any service. 
• A “lawn recovery” is defined as a lawn that is overgrown and takes our team longer to service. These services are billed at our time and material rate. Current customers shouldn’t experience this unless this is a first-time service or a recurring service is canceled and there’s a long gap between services. 
• We only accept recurring customers for standard lawn and treatment services. If the client requests a service cancellation without a 14-day advance written notice, the client will be subject to a service termination fee equal to 50% of their per-service price, but not less than $50.00.

Fertilization and Broadleaf (Weed) Control FAQs

• Customers on our fertilization and broadleaf (weed) control plan must follow the given care tips/directions and water appropriately to see results. Not following the directions/recommendations given could result in harm to the turf areas. Busy Bee Lawnscapes is not responsible for customer neglect in this area.
• This is not a ‘magical’ plan to get rid of your weeds and to make your grass emerald green. Our proven plan has great results, but it takes time and proper care on the customer’s end. We ask for one season to see results.
• This plan covers broadleaf weeds, not grassy weeds. We can treat those, but that would be an additional service(s) outside of the scope of work.
• Modifying our treatment plans tends to result in less satisfaction from the customer. We all love saving money, but please understand our lawn treatment recommendation is a formula we’ve worked on for years and it’s proven to be the best option.
• Customers on the Fertilization and Broadleaf Control plan are required to make a season-long commitment (to see desired results). Products are purchased ahead of time, so if the service is terminated early the customer will be charged 50% of the service cost (one-time), but no less than $50.00.

Payment FAQs

• We offer auto-payment options which allow you to store a card on file. Within 24-48 business hours that card is charged and you’re emailed a receipt of the service that was performed. You can always update your card by opening a receipt/invoice and select ‘Store credit card on file’ at the bottom-right. A majority of our customers prefer using this option.
• For residential customers that mail payment or manually pay online for services – You have seven (7) days before the bill is past due. A 10% late fee (no greater than $25 per late fee) is applied if not received within the noted time. Late fees will continue to accumulate and service will be paused until the bill is paid in full. If the balance is not paid within 30 days the invoice will be sent to collections.
• Our crews will never ask customers for on-site payment. Customers only make payments via auto-pay (through our system), manually pay via online invoice, or by mailing payment (PO Box 27 Troy, AL 36081).
• Any additional services (landscaping, hardscape, etc.) are billed separately at our current man-hour rate.
• We provide estimates/proposals for all work/projects. Although we try to be as accurate as possible (and typically are) sometimes projects can take more or less time, so the client would be charged accordingly. We do communicate with you through this process if it occurs.
• For Landscape and Hardscape projects, we offer the following:

– 50/50 PLAN. A 50% deposit to schedule the work and the remaining balance,
including any changes within 5 days of finishing.
– 3% Processing Fee is you pay with a credit or debit card.

Scheduling FAQs

• If you need to cancel/postpone a Standard Lawn Care or Treatment Service (one service) we require a 24-hour notice. You may be charged a $50 cancellation fee if you’ve already received an en route text notification. A cancellation to your standard lawn service from March – November will result in a higher price for the next service due to it taking our team longer than normal on-site.
• If three (3) Standard Lawn Care Services are canceled during the growing season (approximately March – November), your services will be canceled and you’ll be charged a cancellation fee if your situation meets the criteria noted in the terms of your standard lawn care estimate. The service can be reinstated at the request of the customer at the current rate.

Landscape, Hardscape, and Concrete Services FAQs

• Busy Bee Lawnscapes is not responsible for the health of the plants once installed. The customer takes full responsibility for the health of the installed plants and proper care of the plants. 
• Hardscape solutions such as concrete can crack and/or wear over time. Busy Bee Lawnscapes is not responsible for how the provided hardscape solutions are used or for any wear that may occur over time.
