At Busy Bee Lawnscapes, we take pride in delivering top-quality service to help your lawn thrive. But great results don’t stop when our crews leave your property—what happens in between visits plays a huge role in bringing out the best in your turf. With current dry conditions and the stress they can put on your lawn, a little extra attention can make all the difference.
With the drought conditions we’re experiencing, proper watering is critical. Lawns should receive approximately 1 inch of water per week, either from rainfall or irrigation. The key is to water deeply and less frequently, rather than shallow daily watering. This encourages deeper root growth, making your lawn more resilient.
We also recommend watering in the early morning hours, which reduces evaporation and allows the grass to dry throughout the day—helping prevent disease.
If managing your irrigation feels like a hassle, we’re here to help—just let us know if you’d like to be added to our irrigation maintenance plan.

If you’re not currently enrolled in one of our lawn treatment programs, you could be missing out on the full potential of your turf. Fertilization, weed control, and seasonal applications all work together to create a healthier, greener lawn. Notice the image above – there’s a BIG difference. The lawn at the top has been on our treatment program while the lawn on the bottom had not been on our program. Reach out to us to learn how we can tailor a program specifically for your property.

Over time, soil becomes compacted—especially in high-traffic areas—which restricts water, oxygen, and nutrients from reaching the root system. Core aeration helps relieve that compaction, allowing your lawn to breathe and grow stronger roots.
If your lawn could use a boost, now is a great time to schedule your yearly aeration with our team.
If you’re handling your own mowing, consistency is key. We recommend mowing every 7–14 days at most, depending on growth rate. Letting your grass get too tall between cuts can stress the turf and lead to thinning or scalping.
A good rule of thumb: never remove more than one-third of the grass blade at a time.
For those enrolled in our lawn treatment program, be sure to review the customer care notes included in your service reports. These notes contain important recommendations tailored specifically to your lawn—especially during changing weather conditions like we’re seeing now.
Your lawn’s success is a team effort, and we’re always here to support you. If you have any questions, want to explore additional services, or need guidance on your lawn care routine, don’t hesitate to reach out.
